Privacy Policy
This policy covers datarabbit.com and Callie, the phone and text answering service DataRabbit operates for home-service businesses. "We" means DataRabbit, Merritt Island, Florida.
What we collect
- When you call or text a business that uses Callie: your phone number, what you say or type (calls are transcribed, and audio may be processed to do so), and the details you give, such as your name, service address, and the problem you're having.
- When you contact DataRabbit directly: whatever you send us, such as your name, email, phone number, and message.
- Website: standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested). We don't run advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To answer your call or text, take your request, and pass it to the business you contacted (its owner, dispatcher, or technician).
- To send the service texts you asked for or that relate to your request: confirmations, reminders, callbacks, follow-ups and technician updates.
- To keep a call and message log the business can read, and to check and improve Callie's accuracy for that business.
- To honor opt-outs: when you reply STOP, we record that so no further texts go to your number.
Who we share it with
- The business you contacted. Your request goes to them; that's the point of the call.
- Service providers that run the service on our behalf, such as our phone and SMS carrier, speech and AI providers, and hosting. They process data only to provide those services to us.
- When required by law.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data are never sold, rented, or shared with any third party. This excludes only the service providers above that deliver messages for us.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share one business's customer data with another business.
Keeping and deleting data
Call and message logs are kept for the business that uses Callie for as long as it uses the service, unless it asks us to delete them sooner. You can ask us to delete your information by emailing ryan@datarabbit.com; opt-out records are kept so we can keep honoring your STOP.
Security
Data is stored on servers we control, with access limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Children
The service is for adults arranging home services. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
